Compensation across your firm

PM economics and employee compensation.
One platform.

Portfolio-manager economics

Connect investment performance, agreed costs and individual contracts to compensation outcomes. Model payout arrangements, guarantees, loss carryforwards, team participation and deferrals.

Explain the result and how it changes as performance, costs and contractual terms develop through the year.

Explore portfolio-manager economics

Employee compensation

Bring salaries, discretionary awards, guarantees, sign-on and retention awards, deferred compensation and employer costs into the same financial view.

Review proposed awards and changes to employment terms, with visibility of expense, expected payments and outstanding obligations.

Fit with your existing systems

Start with the scope your firm needs.

Begin with portfolio-manager economics, employee compensation, or both.

Alongside existing systems

Add specialist compensation modelling while retaining the systems and responsibilities that already work for your firm.

Replace a compensation tool

Evaluate Waterline against your current requirements and agree the coverage, migration and controls needed for a replacement.

Move beyond spreadsheets

Bring workbook-based compensation processes into a shared platform with consistent records, calculations and review.

Data sources, interfaces, migration and responsibilities are agreed during implementation. Payment schedules and payroll or accounting outputs support downstream processing; Waterline does not execute bank payments.

Discuss your firm's scope

Start with a no-fee product walkthrough. A configured evaluation is a separate, paid and scoped engagement using agreed data and acceptance criteria.

Across your firm

Shared information.
Different responsibilities.

HR, finance, management and employees need different perspectives on the same compensation arrangements. Waterline brings those perspectives into one platform, with access appropriate to each role.

HR & compensation accounting

Run the cycle together.

A contract changes. HR checks the terms; compensation, fund and corporate accounting teams review the effects on costs and payment schedules.

Keep the agreement, the recorded terms and the financial view connected, rather than passing another version of a workbook between teams.

CFO, COO & management

Understand the commitment.

At month-end or ahead of an award review, see how compensation costs have changed, what is expected to be paid and what remains outstanding.

Explore the effect of proposed changes and follow a movement from a team total to its individual contributors.

Portfolio managers & employees

A personal view of compensation.

Give individuals a place to review the compensation statements and deferred-award documents made available to them, acknowledge a release and raise a question.

Personal information stays within the employee's permitted view. An indicative calculation and an approved statement remain distinct.

AI assistance, with human review

Less re-keying.
More time for judgement.

Use AI to assist with document review and questions about recorded information. Keep compensation calculations, approvals and release decisions within the platform's controlled workflows.

01 / Contract assistance

From wording to proposed terms.

Bring salary, payment and award terms into a structured review, with the supporting contract wording alongside. Validate the proposal before applying changes, with separate modelling review for more complex arrangements.

02 / User assistance

Questions grounded in records.

Ask about compensation records, calculation evidence or items awaiting attention. The assistant uses authorised platform information to support investigation, not to replace a calculation or approval.

Local models. An agreed data boundary.

Waterline supports locally hosted AI models. With a local model configured, contract text and question context can be processed within your controlled environment without sending them to an external AI provider.
